Works with Office of Financial Aid staff and Office of the Registrar to assess technology needs, identify problems, test software releases, recommends system-related priorities, evaluates Banner tools and makes recommendations as to their implementation. Plans and coordinates daily work involved in the campus data system Banner. Recommends updates and improvements and assists both departments with any annual changes to Banner as may be needed with a new academic year.
Assists in data driven reporting, data queries and creation of SQL an PL/SQL scripts for reporting and system maintenance. Plans and coordinates daily work involved in the campus data system Banner.
Assists in automating processes throughout both departments. Assist with the maintenance of current software needs including DegreeWorks, EMS, Acalog, Curriculog, imaging and reporting tools. Implementation of any new products or tools utilized by either department.
Recommend process improvements, troubleshoot Banner issues, design and run reports as needed, train and update employees on Banner and queries designed for maintenance and data clean-up. Provide training to staff in the use of Banner and any upgrades or new releases. Assist with testing releases before loading into the production area.
Develop and maintain Banner expertise focused primarily on STUDENT and FINAID, and utilize it to support needs of the department in achieving office goals as well as enrollment goals. Will include conference/training attendance. Act as liaison with ITS and Ellucian for troubleshooting issues

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required.
Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL scripts and office automation tools.
Familiar with data storage and warehousing.
Ability to pull and organize data, and analyze the information
Must be a team player and able to work with others to help resolve functional and complex technical issues.
Must be able to work independently and capable of organizing and prioritizing workload.
Candidates should have working knowledge of Access and ability to learn other reporting tools.
3-5 years of systems/analysis experience
