Reports to:  Associate Director, Event Logistics, University and Development Events, Office of University Development

Supervises directly: N/A

This is a full-time, term limited position ending after two years from the hire date and is eligible for benefits. Before the end of the term, it could be considered for a term extension or for transition to an open-ended position.

Skills You Have

As the Events Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for logistical arrangements, and the planning and execution of institution-wide ceremonial, development and presidential events, as well as, initiative based events for the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.  You will receive direction from the Associate Director, Event Logistics, and will partner with event colleagues to produce superior, impactful events in a complex, but fun, work environment.

Required Qualifications*

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.

  • 3 or more years demonstrated event management experience required.

  • Experience in a professional setting.

  • Solid knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office software is required.

  • Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Familiarity with database software (DART) is desirable.  

  • Knowledge of running Zoom meetings and webinars.

  • Familiarity with,, Cvent, and/or

  • Non-profit volunteer experience.

  • Familiarity with the University of Michigan organization, policies, and procedures. 

  • Development/Advancement experience.
