The Business Engagement Center seeks a talented, energetic, detailed-oriented and reliable student for a paid Research internship. This position will:
- Research, collect, and input information on businesses to create corporate briefing packets
Research corporate foundations for funding priorities
Collect marketing information for business engagement events/services
Research and collect information on program/center offerings at UM-Flint to promote to corporations/foundations
Other duties as assigned
Interns can expect to expand their professional skill set and network. Outcome skills include:
Increase in understanding corporate philanthropy
Strong understanding of teamwork
Development of independent project management skills
Knowledge of campus and community resources and partners
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:
- Enrolled UM-Flint sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing.
Excellent oral and written communication
Strong ability to think critically
Strong interpersonal skills
Outgoing personality, including ability to communicate and work with diverse constituents
