About the Department


The Ross School of Business One Year Master's Programs Office manages a dynamic portfolio of professional Master's degree programs that develop trained, marketable graduates in . Current programs include the top-ranked Master of Management, Master of Accounting, Master of Supply Chain Management and the new Master of Business Analytics. An inviolable priority is to serve students well as they navigate a transformational experience that enhances their abilities and value, preparing them for a successful career beyond their next job. Our office also focuses on launching and managing new Ross one year master's degree programs. This is an activity requiring broad-based skills to address challenges as they arise. As we mature programs toward a steady state, the development of efficient procedures is required. Our team is small but effective in managing both of our office goals, working together with a customer focus and taking pride in ourselves and our students.

Purpose


In this role, you will be dedicated to executing the marketing and recruitment efforts of the Ross One Year Master's Programs; reporting directly to the Managing Director, One Year Master’s Program. You will contribute to our positive and inclusive work community by building trusting partnerships across the school, continually learning, creating impactful experiences, and working with a sense of ownership for outcomes.

Responsibilities*

  • Coordinate recruitment efforts, working with the Assistant Director of Admissions to create an annual strategic recruitment plan for all One Year Master's Programs.

  • Identify competitor sets for each program and manage registration, travel and budget related to attendance at graduate school fairs, job fairs, information sessions and the hosting of prospective students.

  • Counsel and manager prospective students and their support system(s) regarding admission requirements and the application process.

  • Lead efforts to plan and host prospective and admitted student events.

  • Maintain accurate prospective student records, tracking demographic information, event attendance, student status and general correspondence.

  • Be the primary One Year Master's Programs liaison to Ross Marketing and Communications regarding all online and printed program marketing material, gauging and assessing the effectiveness of collateral with prospective students.

  • Coordinate with Ross Marketing and Communications and the Assistant Director of Admissions, One Year Master's Programs to ensure MATR/Non MATR applicant surveys.

  • Manage and edit compelling, creative content and images for social media channels, email communication, newsletters, website and social media channels.

  • Research and post relevant social media content, monitoring and responding to posts to grow the social community and drive user engagement.

  • Collect metrics from events and marketing efforts; analyze data to better understand strengths and weaknesses in programming and marketing efforts.

  • Maintain relationships with guidance counselors, career services representatives and professors at target universities, keeping them updated on program news and advancements.

  • Cultivate relationships with faculty and staff in non-Ross University of Michigan units, exploring opportunities for One Year Master's Program students.

Required Qualifications*

  • 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Intermediate project or event management experience within higher education or business/corporate community

  • Intermediate experience in fiscal management and in preparing and monitoring budgets and reconciling expenses

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is $41,000-$46,000.  Candidates can expect to be paid a competitive and equitable salary.  Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position.  All candidates are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor alignment and transparency throughout the recruiting process.
