About the Department


The Ross School of Business One Year Master's Programs Office manages a dynamic portfolio of professional Master's degree programs that develop trained, marketable graduates in . Current programs include the top-ranked Master of Management, Master of Accounting, Master of Supply Chain Management and the new Master of Business Analytics.. An inviolable priority is to serve students well as they navigate a transformational experience that enhances their abilities and value, preparing them for a successful career beyond their next job. Our office also focuses on launching and managing new Ross one year master's degree programs. This is an activity requiring broad-based skills to address challenges as they arise. As we mature programs toward a steady state, the development of efficient procedures is required. Our team is small but effective in managing both of our office goals, working together with a customer focus and taking pride in ourselves and our students.

Purpose


In this role, you will manage the development of quality admissions efforts across the Ross One Year Master's Programs; reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Admissions. You will contribute to our positive and inclusive work community by building trusting partnerships across the school, continually learning, creating impactful experiences, and working with a sense of ownership for outcomes.

Responsibilities*

  • Build trusting partnerships across the school, learning, and creating impactful experiences.

  • Help with the implementation and assessment of application and enrollment procedures with Ross Admissions and the One Year Master's Programs Assistant Director of Admissions, Managing Director and Associate Dean.

  • Work with Ross Admissions to refine and manage the evaluation of student applications across One Year Master's Programs.

  • Work with application evaluation teams across all One Year Master's programs ensuring consistency in evaluations and entry of assessments.

  • Conduct admissions interviews, working with interview teams.

  • Work with the Assistant Director of Admissions to communicate admissions decisions to students enrolled in all One Year Master's programs and help yield-generating communication and events.

  • Work with the Student Success Advisor, One Year Master's Programs to ensure enrollment and registration information is made available to students as enrollment deposits are paid.

  • Work with Ross Admissions to test and update One Year Master's Program applications and application-related correspondence.

  • Work with Admissions Advisor to communicate with students who have started their applications, inquiring about intent to submit and keeping them updated on their evaluation status.

  • Work with Ross Admissions and the International Center to ensure processing of I-20s.

  • Aide Assistant Director of Admissions in the assessment of applicants for scholarship, sponsorship and Graduate Student Instructor opportunities.

  • Help communicate scholarship decisions to students enrolled in all One Year Master's Programs.

  • Work with the Assistant Director of Admissions to update student scholarship, sponsorship and Graduate Student Instructor applications annually.

  • Work with Ross Finance and scholarship accounting managers regarding available funding to determine annual scholarship availability.

  • Work with faculty and Ross HR to select and hire Graduate Student Instructors and Graduate Student Staff Assistants.

  • Maintain relationships with Ross Admissions, Ross IT, the Salesforce implementation group and essential faculty, keeping them updated on program news and advancements.

  • Create process documents and program-wide calendars to ensure knowledge and execution within the office.

Required Qualifications*

  • 2+ years of experience and Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary

  • 2+ years experience with event coordination experience within higher education or business/corporate community

  • Work with educational partners and serve as a representative of Ross and the University of Michigan

  • Intermediate experience in strategic planning and project management

  • Intermediate experience presenting information to prospective groups

  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office applications

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is $43,000-$49,000.  Candidates can expect to be paid a competitive and equitable salary.  Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position.  All candidates are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor alignment and transparency throughout the recruiting process.
