Salary range for Registered Nurses- $69,849.91 - $108,327.09

  • Evening Shift Differential- $2.55 per hour
  • Night Shift Differential- $3.40 per hour
  • Weekend Differential- $1.75 per hour



To provide the delivery of culturally sensitive, age-specific nursing care for patients and families at East Ann Arbor Medical Clinics including the adult, pediatric and obstetrical patient population. 
Perform telephone triage management, patient education, direct patient care including, but not limited to:  immunizations, injections, immunotherapy, chronic disease management and other common clinic procedures/tests.  
Provide accurate and timely documentation of nursing care using MiChart and Primary Care Protocols.  
Collaborate with faculty physicians and multiple house officers to develop and implement clinical standards, methods and tools to improve patient care.  
Provides leadership and acts as an internal resource to allied health personnel in the clinic.  Has strong knowledge of available internal and external resources for clinical assessment, decision making, and chronic care management.  
Assist in maintaining patient flow and supporting clinical assistive staff as needed.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework REG NURSE - LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.

Required Qualifications*

  • Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.  
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent (within last five (5) years) RN experience in Ambulatory Care, to include experience with phone triage
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent (within the last five (5) years) RN experience with adult medicine patients (non-research based), to include expeirence with patient education

Desired Qualifications*

  • BSN 
  • Family Medicine RN clinic experience
  • Primary Care Clinic RN experience
  • Recent nursing experience in women’s health, including perinatal care and pediatric care. 
  • Experience developing protocols and patient education tools. 

Work Schedule

Hours/Week: 40 hours per week 
Shift/Hours/Days: Monday-Friday, with Saturday hours.

Hours may be variable based on clinic needs.
Location:  East Ann Arbor Campus

NOTE: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
