Process I-9 paperwork for new employees. Process I-9 recertification. Validate employment start dates. Scan I-9 paperwork into ImageNow. Triage customers and answer questions. Filing and record retention. Keep supplies stocked for the I-9 Center. Utilize systems such as M-Pathways, and eRecruit. Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years experience in a professional office setting. Some knowledge of human resource processes is helpful. Must have a high level of attention to detail with a strong commitment to handling confidential and sensitive information in an appropriate and professional manner. Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively delivering high quality work output. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be adaptable to changing schedules. Knowledge of and adherence to University of Michigan policies and procedures.
Position is scheduled to start with training on Monday, August 16, 2021. The position is anticipated to last until Friday, September 24, 2021, but might end earlier based on work volume.
Expected work hours are 8 am - 5 pm (with some flexibility depending on work volume).
Position pays $15/hour.

Temporary Staffing Services (TSS) is seeking multiple temporary employees to assist with I9 processing during peak hiring season. TSS is screening and hiring on behalf of the hiring unit.
This position will require pre-screening conducted by Temporary Staffing Services on behalf of the hiring department. Pre-screening may include: interviews and reference checking. If screening is required, our office will contact you directly. Please do no contact our department to schedule the screening unless you have been contacted by a representative from Temporary Staffing Services.
