University of Michigan at Dearborn Microbiology LEO I Lecturer Position

The Department of Natural Sciences at University of Michigan-Dearborn invites applications for a part-time LEO I Lecturer to teach one 300-level microbiology laboratory course in each semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. The lab section provides students with foundational knowledge of how microbiology techniques can be used to study key aspects of microbial biology such as antibiotic resistance, metabolism, cell structure, and genetics. Specifically, this course will introduce students to the techniques used in microbiology labs to isolate, stain, characterize, identify and control microorganisms.

Basic Qualifications:

Requirements include a Master's Degree in Microbiology or in a closely related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in microbiology. Teaching experience is preferred.
