The Tauber Institute for Global Operations is looking for a Program Coordinator to help plan and manage student programming for the Institute. You will provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, corporate partners, and visitors and will require periodic evening and weekend work. You will report to the Admissions and Student Program Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

Support Student Programming

  • Assist the Admissions and Student Experience Manager and Institute Directors to develop innovative leadership modules for graduate Business and Engineering students reflecting industry needs.
  • Populate and maintain the Institute's Canvas site with relevant program information and resources for students.
  • Sequence and schedule academic year Leadership modules being aware of both Business School and College of Engineering student conflicts.
  • Work with module presenters on module logistics and preparations. Plan and schedule ~10 facility tours per year (and periodically attend) ensuring appropriate tour format and learning opportunities are in place for Tauber students. Schedule student leader/staff representation on facility tours.
  • Exercise considerable discretion with regard to proposals, quotes, and negotiation of contracts with venues and services while staying within budget.

Guide and assist Tauber students and student groups

  • Provide direction and support to student groups based on Institute priorities.
  • Function as main staff liaison to student groups; attend weekly meetings and update staff and program Directors on status/progress.
  • Connect with and educate recruiters at sought-after companies about the Tauber Institute and student skill sets; organize networking events with firms for Tauber students.

Maintain student records and assist Tauber staff

  • Track attendance at Leadership modules and on facility tours.
  • Proactively follow up with students on excessive absences and implement remediation when necessary.
  • Support student registration needs for Tauber classes.
  • Audit student transcripts to ensure all Tauber requirements are complete.
  • Assist staff with admissions/recruiting, alumni, marketing, or other activities as needed.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
  • Skills in collecting and analyzing data.
  • Project management.
  • With support, willingness to accomplish tasks.
  • Flexible, and customer-service-oriented.
  • Skills in writing for a variety of audiences and experience communicating about and promoting programs.
  • Contribute to a positive work community by approaching work with diversity, equity, and inclusion in mind.
  • Treat others with dignity, and in a manner where individuals feel they belong.
  • Listen to, value feedback, and learn from the perspectives of others.

Desired Qualifications


  • Master's degree in Education.
  • Experience working with graduate students in a university setting
  • Public speaking experience.
  • Event planning experience.
  • Willingness to travel (locally).
