The Office for Student Engagement and Practice office assistant will provide front desk and administrative support for the academic year. We are an energetic student services team that provides exceptional customer service for our community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The OSEP team you will work with provides admissions application processing, recruitment, student life, student records, careers and academic/student affairs support.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic staff member with a commitment to contributing to a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment for all members of our community.
Greeting students, staff and faculty, at the front desk
Triaging and answering general inquiries via phone and email
Mail services, copying, help with reporting, forms, and organizing/keeping supply inventory
Special project and event support
Assisting with meetings and scheduling
Support with reports, presentations, and other deliverables
Back up support for work cycles
High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience, exceptional customer service skills, excellent attendance record, considerable experience performing office duties, excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google product suite, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills working within a diverse team environment.
Bachelor's degree, experience working in an academic or student services environment, knowledge of University of Michigan platforms, procedures and policies
Work schedule will be in person, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm with a lunch break from noon-1pm.
