Job Summary

We have two postdoctoral fellow positions available in the Systems Biology & Drug Discovery lab led by Dr. Sriram Chandrasekaran at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Our lab develops software tools for understanding cellular metabolism and for designing drug combinations.  

Our lab's research has been published in Cell, Genome Biology, eLife, mBio, and PNAS. The PI has a great track record of funding from NIH and was also named as MIT Technology Review’s Top Innovators Under 35 in 2021.

The postdoctoral fellow will lead projects in building systems biology models in various microbes and mammalian systems.  The  postdoctoral fellow will analyze omics datasets to find drug regimens for treating diverse cancers and antibiotic resistant infections. 

Required Qualifications*

  • Ph.D. in systems biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, bioengineering or related field. 

  • Experience with omics data analysis, specifically transcriptomics, proteomics, chemogenomics, and metabolomics data.

  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms or knowledge of systems biology approaches (network inference and genome-scale modeling). 

  • Proficient with R, Python or MATLAB.
