Provide a wide range of professional classroom and support services to an assigned group of innovative and diverse faculty. Teaching Support: Maintain Canvas sites for classes. Use Zoom to create meeting links and schedule meetings. Manage uploading/printing of assignments and handouts. Maintain/update grades and attendance. Prepare seating charts and face cards. Assist with preparation of class presentations and simulations. Make conference room reservations. May be asked to arrange travel and hotels for faculty and visitors or catering for faculty events. Research Support and Document Preparation: Prepare and send out mailings. Edit and/or proofread manuscripts, exams, syllabi, lecture notes, and reference letters. Create/edit indices, citations, and footnotes. Perform web and library searches. Create tables and charts using Excel and Powerpoint. Other duties as assigned.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbal forms, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on projects with meticulous attention to detail. Strong customer service orientation, good judgment and flexibility, and demonstrated ability to handle confidential material with tact and discretion. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google applications. Training will be provided on internal software applications.
Previous work experience in an academic unit is desired.
40 hours/week M-F.
Position begins ASAP, and is expected to last through 12/23/2021.
Payrate is at least $16/hr depending on skills and experience.
