Applicants must submit curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy and experience, a statement of current and future research plans, evidence of teaching excellence, and a diversity statement to  Hard copies of materials are not required, but may be submitted to the Associate Chair for Recruiting at Department of Economics, University of Michigan, 611 Tappan Avenue, 238 Lorch Hall, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-1220. Your diversity statement (1-3 pages) should include a discussion of any demonstrated and/or planned activities regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion ( through your research, your teaching/mentoring, and/or your service/engagement. (There may be some overlap of the diversity statement with your research and/or teaching statements.) First consideration will be given to applications submitted by November 5, 2021, but applications will continue to be considered until the position is filled.

Job Summary

The University of Michigan, Department of Economics invites applications at the rank of Associate Professor and Professor (both with tenure) in Any Field. The Department expects to have multiple positions available, subject to budgetary approval, with an anticipated start date of August 29, 2022 with a University-Year appointment.

Research capacity and teaching ability serve as the primary criteria for selection. Ph.D. and strong research orientation are required.
