Revenue Cycle Professional Billing is looking for a Billing Clerk/Patient Account Representative. This clerical entry level position may require the staff member to be on site occasionally.

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of 3rd party reimbursement policies and procedures may be necessary in certain positions. Ability to type 40-60 wpm with accuracy may be necessary. Relevant office experience. Responsible secretarial experience is necessary in certain positions. 1-2 yrs office experience, including at minimum six months in a hospital or physician business office. The ability to work in a fast paced/production environment.
Knowledge of University of Michigan and UMHS policies, procedures and as well as regulatory requirements. Experience with UMHS systems including MiChart, Outlook, Epremis, CHAMPS, Webdenis, as well as other payer websites. Professional billing experience within the last 5 years.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
