You will join us on the Michigan News team, providing expert writing and storytelling strategies for compelling content to pitch and communicate to news media and share on university websites and social platforms. You must bring excellent skills as a writer and interviewer.
As a full-time public relations representative, you will help design communications strategies and be assigned to cover and work with university units, including the School of Information and the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning (additional units will be assigned). You will develop communications around projects and research findings, and help us promote experts on important topics and issues in the world. As part of the Michigan News team, you will work collaboratively and creatively to show and tell stories that raise awareness and build upon the university's reputation in research, expertise and academia.
Michigan News is a department of the Office of the Vice President for Communications. You will report to the director of Michigan News.

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations or related field

This full-time position may be eligible for a hybrid schedule combining remote and onsite work.
