Summary

The University of Michigan, School of Nursing (UMSN), Department of Health Behavior and Biological Sciences is seeking a part-time Research Associate who will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) on a 5-year NIH funded study on economic empowerment among young people living with HIV. You will assist with preparation of IRB applications, coordination of research team meetings and field activities, record keeping, data cleaning and data analysis, preparation of manuscripts and presentations, and report writing.

Responsibilities*

  • Assist with regulatory procedures such as protocol review and institutional review board submissions.
  • Collect, record, and help analyze data.
  • Perform literature searches and systematic reviews.
  • Help with audit preparation.
  • Data entry.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree in a health related field (nursing, public health, social work) required. Master's degree preferred.
  • At least (1) one year of relevant work experience in research required.
  • Experience with preparing IRB applications, data analysis and report writing.
  • Proficiency in STATA, SPSS, SAS or R.

Additional Information

Hours: 12 Hours

Shift/Hours/Days: Between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; may include some occasional weekend and/or evening hours.

Salary:  The salary will be prorated based on an annual full-time salary range from $37,440 - $41,600 based on experience, due to salary funded on a grant. The actual salary determined will be based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate and may be less than the maximum. We encourage all interested parties apply.
