The Department of Classical Studies in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts at the University of Michigan seeks qualified applicants for a part time, one term position to begin August 29, 2022. This position is pending final approval.
Duties and responsibilities for this GSI position are teaching three in-person discussion sections of CLCIV 371: Greek Sport/ In addition to teaching and grading responsibilities, the instructor will be required to attend all CLCIV 371 lectures (held in-person), hold office hours for students, provide appropriate syllabus and course materials, and attend weekly meetings with the faculty instructor.
Enrollment in a graduate program in Classical Studies, Ancient History, Classical Archaeology or a related humanities field.
Knowledge of Greek civilization and history and experience teaching courses at the college level.
Decision Making Process
Applications will be evaluated based upon demonstrated subject matter expertise, successful performance in the classroom, and the needs of the department.
Review of applications will commence August18 and the anticipated date by which an offer will be made is August 22.
