Responsibilities*

  • Provide psychological counseling services and outreach to the campus community, including screening and diagnostic assessment; individual, couples, and group therapy for diverse students, and work with multiple presenting concerns

  • Provide crisis intervention to campus groups and the campus at-large

  • Complete suicide assessments for our students in distress

  • Maintain confidential client files and appropriate record-keeping, according professional, ethical, and legal standards

  • Design and implement psycho-educational programming on a broad range of issues

  • Be a resource to colleagues by brining a clinical perspective to University concerns

  • Work collaboratively with diverse teams across our campus to support student mental health programming and services

  • Attend staff and professional development opportunities

Required Qualifications*

  • Masters degree in counseling, clinical psychology, or social work.

  • Full licensure or ability to obtain full licensure for independent practice in the State of Michigan, including LP, LMSW, or LPC

  • 2+ years of clinical experience in a related role working with young adult populations

  • Experience with working with students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds..

Work Schedule

Hybrid: A consistent hybrid work schedule (some days on campus and some days working remotely) is available for this position at this time. However, this is subject to change based upon the duties of the position and the needs of the department.

Background Screening
