Summary
The UM-D Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) is offering a part-time, paid position that involves leading groups of schoolchildren for educational programs. These nature and science-oriented programs take place outdoors in the campus Environmental Study Area.
Qualifications:
Interest in nature and comfortable working outdoors in sometimes challenging field conditions
Some level of familiarity with local flora and fauna
Positive attitude
Patient with children
Good verbal communication skills
Employment Period: May 5 through November 1, 2023
Hours: minimum availability 3 weekdays per week, 5 hours per day, 9AM to 2PM.
Training is provided by experienced EIC naturalist staff and student program leaders.
