The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Research Assistant. In this role you'll administer cognitive and behavioral test measures for research studies examining the effects of medical or neurological disorders, agents, and/or devices on neurocognitive performance.

Responsibilities*
In this role, you'll be expected to work closely with faculty and staff in lab management, including training students along with database management and analysis. You'll be able to operate in a semi-independent manner to assist in clinical research and related projects. You'll administer and score standardized neuropsychological tests and research instruments to research participants across the lifespan and with a range of medical disorders. You'll assist with the creating of posters, papers, and presentations for scientific meetings, and handle other scientific administration and clerical activities as directed to support research projects.
Required Qualifications*
In order to be considered for this position candidates must:
- have a bachelor's degree in psychology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- have previous experience with the creation, management, and analysis of databases.
- have demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- be willing to flex weekly hours to accommodate occasional testing on the weekends.
Desired Qualifications*
The fully prepared candidate for this role will:
- be proficient in test administration and scoring
- have strong clinical skills
- have superior verbal and written communication skills
- have previous experience working with both older adults and children
- have previous experience with statistical analysis packages (e.g. SAS, SPSS, etc.) and other research laboratory programs
Work Schedule
A typical work schedule for this position would be 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday. Occasional weekend hours may be required in order to accommodate participant testing appointments.
Work Locations
Work will take place at the Neuropsychology Program offices at 2101 Commonwealth Blvd., Suite C in Ann Arbor, MI.

Background Screening
