We are seeking to enhance our faculty by adding a pediatric optometrist to join our team of providers in a dynamic and creative academic environment. Proficiency in pediatric primary eye care is required.  Applicants should be willing to work in more than one office setting, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.

This faculty appointment in the University of Michigan Medical School as well as a clinician at Michigan Medicine is ideal for those who thrive in seeing challenging cases, interprofessional relationships, and academic prowess. This full-time position is on the clinical  track depending on individual qualifications and career aspirations. Required Qualifications*

Successful candidates will have an MD ± PhD degree, or equivalent, in areas as described above. Documentation of scholarly ability and achievement (record of publications in peer-reviewed journals; record of acquisition of external funding for research programs, research plan, collaborative research experience) is expected. Preferred candidates will have a demonstrated interest in graduate and post-doctoral education and possess critical teaching skills.

Background Screening
