Summary

The Quantum Engineering Laboratory led by Dr. Zheshen Zhang at University of Michigan-Ann Arbor is seeking multiple experimental postdoctoral researchers. Specific expertise of interest includes, but is not limited to, quantum optics, nonlinear optics, quantum devices and systems, nanofabrication and integrated devices, and quantum materials. Individuals with interdisciplinary research background are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities*

  • Conduct experimental studies in the areas of quantum communications, quantum sensing, and quantum computing
  • Publish papers in recognized scientific journals
  • Assist in supervising graduate and undergraduate students

Required Qualifications*

  • PhD degree in electrical engineering, physics, optics, or a closely related discipline
  • Track record for scientific publications

Desired Qualifications*

  • Background in experimental nonlinear and quantum optics or integrated device fabrication
  • Good understanding of quantum information theory
  • Capability for pursuing independent research
