Responsibilities*

  • This individual will join a team of anthologists, embryologists, and fertility healthcare providers with a longstanding record of successful teamwork and program building.
  • The embryologist will be responsible for daily operations of the embryology portion of the ART (Assisted Reproductive Technologies) lab, including performing all aspects of human IVF lab procedures.
  • The embryologist will cover reproductive hormone testing, andrology testing and therapeutic procedures as need-based (training will be provided).
  • Responsibilities will include:
    • Participation in a robust QM/QC/QA/QI laboratory program;
    • All embryology lab procedures, such as oocyte retrieval, ICSI, vitrification, thaw, and embryo transfer;
    • Endocrine testing, andrology diagnostic and therapeutic technologies.
  • The embryologist is expected to adhere to lab SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), apply high reliability principles and work with clinic staff to improve patient quality of care, safety, and clinic workflows.
  • This position reports directly to the Lab Manager/Laboratory Director.

Required Qualifications*

  • The successful candidate will have at least a bachelor's degree in biological or related sciences. 
  • The candidate must have proven knowledge in the reproductive field and experience with working with human gametes and embryos, and be fully competent in human oocyte retrieval, embryo vitrification and thawing, regular insemination and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) fertilization checks, and all aspects of embryo grading.
  • The candidate will also need to strictly follow the laboratory's policy and procedure.
  • Attention to detail, great hand and eye coordination skills, ability to learn quickly, good documentation practice, excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of the team are essential.
  • Participation in quality data management is expected.
  • Familiarity with computer programs in Microsoft Office is required, including Word and Excel.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US (United States); visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Desired Qualifications*

Four years direct experience in the clinical embryology laboratory. Competence in all aspects of embryology procedures, including intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), embryo biopsy and oocyte vitrification and thawing.

Work Schedule

This position entails some weekend and holiday work on a rotation basis with other colleagues.

Background Screening
