Summary

This position is responsible for participating in various operational processes at HomeMed and will participate and assist in the provision of daily pharmacy operations, including medical management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance to ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical care for all patient age groups. Will interact with various pharmacists, nurses and dietitians and will have exposure to and training for interdisciplinary professional practice in a home infusion pharmacy program. Applicant must be enrolled in the College of Pharmacy.

Required Qualifications*

  • High School Degree or equivalent certification
  • Student actively enrolled in or accepted to pharmacy school.
  • Licensure as a Pharmacy Intern with the State of Michigan
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Programs including (Word, Excel, Visio, etc) 

Desired Qualifications*

  • Advanced Excel experience (functions, macros, filters, pivot tables, etc) and Tableau with a willingness to self-learn missing skills. 
  • Excellent technical and professional writing skills. 
  • Interest in Pharmacy Administration or Patient Safety 
  • Completion of first year pharmacy school curriculum and able to commit to a 2 year internship.

Work Schedule

8.0 to 12.0 hours per month during the school year. Days only with rotating shift between 7am & 7pm Monday through Friday.  Some weekend days required.  Holiday shifts are optional. Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer.
