Summary

A unique postdoctoral scientist opportunity is available within the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Michigan Medical School.  This dually mentored position will operate at the interface of basic science in G protein coupled receptor signaling and translational hematology.  You should have knowledge or prior training in biochemistry, pharmacology, cell or molecular biology and have the desire for a diverse training experience.  It is expected that the postdoctoral scientist will perform the following activities semi-independently under the quidance of the principle investigators of both laboratories; conduct research, apply for postdoctoral fellowships, present results at national and international scientific meetings, and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.

Required Qualifications*

  • Ph.D. or M.D. with an emphasis in graduate level biomedical research. 
  • Graduate level experiences relevant to the position are required, but previous postdoctoral experience is unnecessary. 
  • A strong record of past publication in primary research journals

In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.

  • Evidence of application for or awarding of pre-doctoral fellowship awards

Background Screening
