Course Description

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures seeks applications from qualified U-M Graduate Students to GSI in Italian 240, with Professor Karla Mallette, for the Fall 2024 term. The course is taught in English. Courses meet Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. We will make every effort to assign the instructor to a section that fits their existing course schedule.

Responsibilities*

Successful applicants will teach three discussion sections of Italian 240 under the direction of Professor Karla Mallette for a 50% GSI appointment. The duties of this appointment will also include grading, attending all lectures, holding office hours, and leading discussion sections, including development of some independent lesson plans.

Required Qualifications*

Applicants should have prior teaching experience, some pedagogical training, and an interest in the course topic.

Desired Qualifications*

Individuals with prior experience teaching in RLL will be given priority consideration

LSA student enrolled in a graduate program
