Purpose:
As the Managing Director (MD), you will manage the design, development, and implement high-impact action-based learning programs for students in all programs at Ross. You will contribute to our positive and inclusive work community by building trusting partnerships across the school. Responsibilities*

  • Overall strategic leadership for the OABL (Office of Action-Based Learning).
  • Plan and execute global action learning projects for 6 MBA programs, BBA program, Master of Management, Master of Supply Chain Management, and Master of Business Analytics programs (Support for 1000+ students).
  • Ensure programs are relevant, impactful and appealing.
  • Work with the Associate Dean on program content, project execution, and faculty participation.
  • Manage the facilitation of program delivery, including logistics, student and faculty assignments, and overall relationship management for all partners.
  • Examine educational outcomes and ensure end-product examination and review.
  • Develop relationships with faculty advisors.
  • Manage the fiscal budget.
  • Administer, implement, and interpret university and department policies and procedures regarding the sponsor and student experience.
  • Resolve highly visible or complex issues.
  • Manage the process for matching students to projects and develop the criteria for selection.
  • Manage the process of faculty course planning and project matching.
  • Manage the process for student assessment, advising and registration, orientation, and other site events such as workshops, information sessions and kick-off sessions.
  • Work with the Associate Dean for Corporate and Executive Relations to gain new sponsors for substantive business projects.
  • Consult with the potential sponsors in the development of their project proposals.
  • Ensure targeted project solicitation goals are reached and maintained to support Ross action-based learning curriculum.

Required Qualifications*

  • Master's degree with 5 years related experience in business administration, graduate recruitment, career development, university relations or marketing experience, student services, or business consulting. Or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Academic and professional accomplishments to command the broad respect of the academic and alumni community.
  • Demonstrated supervisory management experience.
  • Business development experience or other success building strategic partnerships.
  • Experience establishing the strategic direction for a group or organization.
  • DEI mindset.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Experience in fiscal management.
  • Experienced in database applications, CRM tools (i.e. Salesforce or comparable system) including data entry and report-writing.

Additional Information

The general salary range for this position is $109,000 - $121,000. You can expect to be paid a great compensation package. Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor alignment and transparency throughout the recruiting process. Selected candidates whose start date is 4/1/2024 or after, will not be eligible for the university FY24-25 salary/merit plan unless otherwise notified.
