Summary

Information and Technology Services (ITS) is looking for an ERP Business Systems Analyst to join the Human Capital Management (HCM) team within ITS.

We support U-M faculty, researchers, staff, and students in their use of technology to teach, learn, research, and work, and be leaders in their fields. We are dedicated to creating cohesive digital experiences and promoting university wide innovations. 

As an ERP Business Systems Analyst specializing in human resources (HR), you will be involved in all aspects of the process, including PeopleSoft Human Capital Management module and eRecruit.  Your expertise in business analysis and HR-related systems will help maintain the hire to retire programs, compliance with relevant regulations, and optimize our HR operations. You will be part of an enthusiastic and supportive team that prides itself on ensuring the highest level of accuracy and customer service to the University community. 

Starting salaries will vary depending upon your qualifications and experience. At an Intermediate level, the salary range is $72,000 to $76,000.

Responsibilities*

 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and identify areas for improvement in systems and processes.
  • Perform data analysis to ensure accurate processing of HR transactions and federal regulations compliance.
  • Identify and resolve human resources-related issues, system errors, and discrepancies.
  • Execute test plans to support infrastructure updates, software upgrades and releases.
  • Participate in project meetings, provide progress reports, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to HR systems.


 

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
  • Knowledge of HR processes, systems, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of systems development methodologies (including waterfall and/or iterative approaches).
  • Experience with HR systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday, SAP, Oracle) is desirable.

Work Schedule

Flexible work arrangements are available and the position is hybrid, based in Ann Arbor, MI, requiring some days on site due to the collaborative nature of the team. Details can be worked out with the hiring manager. May also require on-call availability and working during non-business hours.
