Responsibilities*

  1. Carry out molecular biology laboratory experiments related to CRISPR/cas9 and cell line cultures. This may include but is not limmited to culturing cells, isolating DNA and proteins from them, RTPCR, western analysis, high throughput high content microscopy and analysis, whole genome crispr screeing and FACS analysis, cell assay development.
  2. Carry out human genetic analyses including  guide enrichment analyses, genome wide assocaition analysis, transcription genome wide associaition analysis, gene expression analyses, gene annotation, and integrative omic analyses.
  3. Present at group meetings and at local and national meetings, write up papers and work, help write grants
  4. Support others in the lab with computational or molecular work needed. 

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field

Desired Qualifications*

  • Master's degree in biostatistics, bioinformatics, and a molecular based discipline preferred. 

Modes of Work

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
