Summary

The Perinatal Stress Study (PSS) is seeking dependable and detail-oriented research assistants who have experience working with children and are available for in-person work. All research assistants need to be able to adhere to strict study protocols and be sensitive to working with vulnerable populations. This would be an ideal position for someone seeking clinical research experience and pursuing psychology, social work, public health, or medicine. We are recruiting assistants to administer a standardized brief stress task and to provide childcare to participants.

Responsibilities*

  • Administer a brief standardized stress task.
  • Provide childcare to children aged 1month-10yrs.

Required Qualifications*

  • Experience with children, detail orientated, and flexible.

Work Schedule

Flexible depending on the needs of participants. Most RAs work 4-5 hours per month.

Work Locations

The location for this position will be in Detroit and Ann Arbor.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.

In addition to the screenings indicated above under Michigan law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of transfer or employment for this position.
