As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will be part of the Department of Pharmacy Hematology Oncology team, as well as multidisciplinary teams within the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center. What skills would you master?

  • You will assure safe and evidence-based, cost-effective use of medications, as well as contribute to formulary review and maintenance. 
  • You will assist in the development of staff educational and training programs within the Pharmacy Department 
  • As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will also be appointed as an adjunct faculty member in the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy where you will participate in the didactic and experimental training of pharmacy students and residents 
  • You will work individually and/or collaboratively on scholarly/research activity

Required Qualifications*

What are the Qualifications?  

  • A Doctor of Pharmacy degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Michigan verifiable in LARA.
  • Controlled Substance license, or eligibility to become licensed within 90 days of employment start date.
  • A certificate of completion from an oncology residency, fellowship, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is preferred. 
  • Experience in clinical pharmacy practice is required in the form of residency training or equivalent work experience.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy is desired, but not required

Work Schedule

This position is contingent/Locum to support regular staff member coverage due to vacation, illness, or other reasons. This role ensures continuity of care or service during staffing gaps. 

Modes of Work

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
