Job Summary
This position supports the College of Literature Science and the Arts Technology Services team by testing, analyzing and remediating course websites and content to ensure they meet digital accessibility standards. The employee will learn and apply best practices for digital accessibility and become proficient with technologies that help make digital content accessible. They will work independently and collaboratively to identify and address accessibility issues in Canvas courses and supplemental documentation. They will consult with customers to explain and apply concepts of digital accessibility and contribute to training and educational materials about course accessibility topics. They will also analyze data from their testing and remediation efforts to provide insights on common issues and provide estimates for the time required to bring future courses up to accessibility standards.

Required Qualifications*
- Experience and some proficiency in making digital content accessible according to standards and best practices
- Excellent written communication skills, awareness of inclusive practices for communication about disability
- Dependable and timely communication across multiple media
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and work independently
- Willingness to learn and continually develop
Desired Qualifications*
- Additional experience in making digital content accessible according to standards and best practices
- Experience in reviewing digital content against accessibility standards
Modes of Work

Additional Information
This position is full-time and has a one-year term.
Background Screening
