Job Summary
Assist with coordinating and posting content to Facebook and Instagram channels. Brainstorm fun new ways to creatively engage and build the college's social media community. Craft grammatically correct, well-worded, and engaging posts for all social media platforms. Communicate with staff to gather information about events and news. Work with the CASE Communications Specialist to write blog and news features on a regular basis.
Responsibilities*
- Attend events related to the College of Arts, Sciences & Education and gather audio, video, and photo content.
- Collect student and attendee testimonials from events and as needed.
- Write blog articles related to CASE disciplines, events, and programs.
- Create and publish social media content across CASE's suite of social media channels.
- Related activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
- Experience in creating content for social media posts, including short-form video and audio stories as well as photo stories
- Basic experience in audio and video editing and graphic design
- Experience writing blog posts or news articles
- UM-Flint Student

Work Schedule
Work schedule will be between 5 - 10 hours per week.
Modes of Work
Hybrid
The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
