What You'll Do
Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing, the Market Research Analyst Senior will lead research projects that inform strategic decision-making at the Center for Academic Innovation. In this important role, the analyst will develop qualitative and quantitative research to inform the center's portfolio and strategic programs. You will have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret large amounts of data and translate findings into relevant insights. You will also manage partnerships with third-party research agencies.

Responsibilities*
Market Research & Analysis:
- Inform strategic decision-making by compiling and analyzing data on learners, competitors, labor markets, and other indicators of demand at the center, portfolio, and initiative level. Examples include (but are not limited to):
- Lead competitive landscape and demand analyses on multiple institutions' market offerings, spotting and predicting emerging market trends, pricing/business models, and operational methods
- Represent global learner interests and behaviors to inform senior leadership on content selection and promotion
- Perform valid and reliable SWOT analyses for different content and products of the center
- Implement research programs that support both the center's goals and its external partners, including designing quantitative and qualitative research surveys
- Provide research-based insights that improve our marketing and communications strategies
- Report and present findings into applicable reports and presentations
- Identify the best methodologies for data collection and analysis, implementing a variety of research tools
- Monitor data collection, provide insight, and deliver analysis for all research programs, translating research findings into relevant recommendations
- Independently manage research agenda and timelines, reflecting center priorities
- Maintain the Market Research request form
- Frame and develop goals for all primary research, working to apply appropriate research methodologies that will best fit the goals for research projects
Market Research Liaison:
- Be the main contact for market research within the center
- Be the market research liaison between CAI and university partners and external partners (e.g., third-party research vendors) and present findings
- Maintain an internal marketing research knowledge center to house all research materials, third-party research data, and competitive benchmarking information
- Develop and present research findings on topics
- Manage partnerships and project work with third party research agencies including proposal development, scope, schedule, and budget
- Lead the process to secure both external and internal research partners to implement research agenda
Student Fellow Supervision and Leadership:
- Responsible for onboarding student fellows dedicated to market research
- Oversee market research student fellows by managing assignments, identifying task priorities, overseeing project deliverables, and providing mentorship
Required Qualifications*
- 5 or more years of experience in market research
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Marketing, Market Research, or a related field
- Interpret large amounts of data
- Knowledge of statistical packages (e.g., python, R, SPSS, SAS)
- Knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys)
Modes of Work

Additional Information
Please Note: This is a 5 year term limited position with the possibility of renewal depending on funding.
Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
The mode of work for this position is Hybrid. The work requirements for this position allow both onsite and offsite work and you will have an expected regular and recurring onsite presence. On occasion, you may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by our center's policy and domain leadership or by your job requirements.
The salary for this position will be based on your education and experience.

Salary Information
The general salary range for this position is $80,000 - $85,000. You can expect to be paid a great compensation package. Factors used to determine salary include education level and experience for the position and internal equity within the unit. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor agreement and transparency throughout the recruiting process.
