We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Editorial Assistant to support our continuing legal education programs. What You'll Do
Perform law clerk duties, including: light legal research; communicating with staff and volunteer lawyers; preparing outlines of educational offerings; reviewing and editing transcripts of educational offerings; preparing and maintaining project spreadsheets. Other clerical duties as assigned.
Responsibilities*
95% - Provide assistance to the Director of Publications and Online Resources and staff attorneys in the development and maintenance of online resources:
- Perform light legal research and procure and sort data as assigned to support educational offerings.
- Communicate effectively with and assist staff and volunteer lawyers
- Prepare comprehensive outlines of educational offerings for various programs.
- Review and edit transcripts of educational offerings to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Prepare and maintain project spreadsheets to track progress, deadlines, and budget goals.
5% - Assist with other clerical duties as assigned to support the department
Required Qualifications*
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
- Pending applications to one or more ABA accredited law schools
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to carefully follow directions.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility in working hours, generally 8:00-5:00 Monday through Friday, with the possibility of working in 2-4 hour blocks.
