Job Summary
Admissions Ambassadors inform new and prospective students on university policies, opportunities, and regulations, acquaint them with campus surroundings, and address questions and concerns related to the college search process. Admissions Ambassadors typically work from 10-20 hours per week. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is open from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Friday. In addition to regular shifts, Admissions Ambassadors are required to work 1-2 Saturdays per semester for special events.

Responsibilities*
- Lead campus tours for prospective students, families, and other guests.
- Answer phones, monitor the office email inbox, and manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain inventory of promotional items and office supplies.
Required Qualifications*
- Current University of Michigan-Flint student.
- Must be in good academic standing, with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
- The ability to communicate effectively with students and other guests from a variety of backgrounds.
Background Screening
The University of Michigan conducts background checks on all job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background checks. Background checks are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
