The West Ann Arbor Health Center – Parkland Plaza is one of our newest Michigan Medicine Ambulatory Care facilities dedicated to providing high quality health care services for adults and children. The new 2-story facility is located at 380 Parkland Plaza in Ann Arbor. Responsibilities*
Provide exceptional customer service for both pediatric and adult patient by performing direct patient care including:
- assisting and administering medications
- immunizations
- test and procedures
- patient instruction
- patient flow
- administer
- document medications according to standards
- phone triage
- prescription refills
- preparing exam rooms
- maintenance dose allergy injections
- IV infusion.
Must be able to interpret diagnostic test instructions, assist with procedures, and obtain diagnostic results from clinical information system.
Assist with patient calls as delegated by physicians or nursing staff.
Manage prescription renewals and authorizations.
Required Qualifications*
- Current licensure as LPN in the State of Michigan
- Graduation from an accredited School of Practical Nursing
- Successfully completed a pharmacology course in an accredited program

- Experience within an ambulatory setting
- Experience with an electronic medical record
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures
- The selected individual must be an active team player with the ability to work independently; possess strong organization and prioritization skills; ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast paced environment, and have demonstrated problem solving skills
- The selected individual must have excellent attendance
- The selected individual must exhibit a professional and positive image when interacting with patients, faculty and staff, must adhere to a high standard of personal and professional conduct, possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, and have a demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse population
Work Schedule
Hours: 40 hours per week
Days/Shift: Monday thru Friday 8a-430, no weekends or Holidays
Location: West Ann Arbor Health Center - Parkland Plaza -Podiatry and Specialty Clinics. Will float to other clinics as needed including but not limited to Pulmonary, Allergy, Podiatry and Gen Med.
As part of the orientation training process, training will be held at multiple locations for the first few months of the position
All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
