Job Summary
This position provides supporting patient care to patients that undergo an MRI exam within Michigan Medicine.
Responsibilities*
- Provide routine paramedical, clerical & technical assistance related to MRI procedures including:
- Reviewing the Safety Questionnaire with the patient and assisting the patient into hospital appointed attire, for safe scanning. If applicable, the PCTA will place an IV in the patient prior to their study.
- Using Epic (EMR), the PCTA will communicate with the team through Snapboard.
- Scanner assignments will be used to divide the workload between the number of PCTAs schedule for that day.
- PCTAs are responsible for a clean and stocked work area at all times.
- Train newer staff to meet the department requirements.
Required Qualifications*
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary
- Maintain BLS card
- Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to be in stationary position (sitting or standing) up to 80% of the time.
- Great communication skills
- Worked within in a large operation that covers multiple sites.
Desired Qualifications*
IV, blood draw experience is a desired requirement, but it can be taught upon hiring.

Background Screening
