Job Summary
The University of Michigan's Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital is seeking an outstanding junior to mid-level pediatric critical care physician with clinical expertise in caring for complex, critically ill children to join our team. The position includes a faculty appointment at the University of Michigan Medical School. Applicants must have excellent clinical skills, board certification or eligibility in pediatric critical care medicine, and meet criteria for medical licensure in Michigan and Assistant or Associate Professor at the University of Michigan Medical School. If considering the Associate Professor rank, significant leadership experience and/or nationally recognized scholarship in pediatric critical care medicine is highly desired. Research and academic interest in quality improvement, basic or translational science, or resuscitation science are highly desirable. Additional desirable qualities include interest and experience in leadership roles. We offer the opportunity for both support and integration into ongoing research including work on sepsis and lung injury work as well as clinical trials. Opportunities exist for the development of scholarly activities, leadership development, and faculty growth. Duties include coverage of the inpatient PICU service at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. Responsibilities include in-house night coverage, supervision and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, scholarly activity, and administrative duties.
Required Qualifications*
The candidate will have an MD or DO degree, be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan.
