Who We Are

The Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the University of Michigan is recruiting a faculty neonatologist to join our team at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow (UMH-Sparrow) in Lansing, Michigan. This is a full-time clinical position that combines high-acuity community neonatology with the benefits of a University of Michigan faculty appointment, including access to academic resources, teaching, and statewide collaboration.

About the Role

  • Provide clinical care in a 35-bed Level III NICU and a 12-bed Special Care Nursery
  • NICU manages 700-800 admissions annually, with high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia
  • Team includes neonatologists, APPs, fellows, and residents
  • Participate in academic case conferences and QI initiatives with Michigan Medicine
  • Collaborate with MSU College of Human Medicine faculty and contribute to trainee education
  • Optional service opportunities may be available at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital

Academic Affiliation

Includes a clinical faculty appointment at the University of Michigan with academic rank commensurate with experience. Faculty may participate in teaching, mentoring, scholarly work, and divisional academic activities.

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
  • Committed to clinical excellence, collaboration, and education
  • Comfortable in a high-acuity, community-based NICU with academic affiliation

Background Screening
