Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant Intermediate plays a vital role in supporting the overall operations of the Law Office of Development and Alumni Relations. Reporting to the Office Manager, this position handles various projects and tasks as assigned. The assistant provides essential administrative support to each program area.

Responsibilities*
Work as part of a support staff team to provide excellent customer service to visitors, donors, and program area staff.
Assist program areas in facilitating the submission of P-card and hosting documentation for Emburse Enterprise report preparation as needed.
Administrative Assistant for Michigan Law Connect, our alumni and student networking site. Review and approve members, assist with project management of ongoing marketing and communications; monitor groups within the system and work with director of alumni engagement and business analyst on goals and platform enhancements.
Provide back-up coverage for committee call scheduling and recap as needed.
Gather, record, and properly store information about prospects, donors, solicitations, communications, committees, and events utilizing DART and collaboration tools as assigned.
Manage incoming calls and visitors with professionalism. Screen inquires, resolve routine and complex matters, and ensure timely follow-up.
Coordinate staff calendars for events and meetings as needed. May also involve assistance with alumni campus visits and student group interactions.
Periodic evening and weekend work is required to assist with reunions and Law School alumni events.
Perform other position-related responsibilities, duties, and activities, as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
High school diploma.
2-4 years of administrative support experience, preferably in a fundraising environment.
Ability to communicate effectively; verbally and in writing.
Experience with Google apps and Microsoft Office suite.
Willingness and ability to actively contribute and collaborate.
Demonstrated organizational skills.
Discretion in dealing with highly sensitive information, and diplomatic in approaching customer service.
Ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively and exhibiting an executive level of professionalism when working with colleagues, prospects, donors and the greater University of Michigan community.
Ability to set priorities, manage complex assignments, and meet multiple deadlines while remaining flexible, displaying excellent judgment, and promoting a positive attitude
Desired Qualifications*
Knowledge of or expertise with specialized database systems: DART, ROI.
Knowledge of University expense reporting.
