Job Summary

This position will be responsible for supervising facilities, managing operations and supervising staff for events and practices at Crisler Center, the William Davidson Player Development Center, Junge Family Champions Center.- Varied schedule required - Weekends, nights and holidays are expected based on event schedule. Compensation: $18/hr, 40 hrs/wk (Wage rate based on experience/qualifications).

Responsibilities*

  • Assist with the supervision and daily operations of Crisler Center.
  • Perform quality control cleaning and maintenance checks at the facility and manage work lists.
  • Execute proper opening/closing procedures at Crisler Center.
  • Assist Facility Managers with supervision of custodial staff and janitorial equipment, closets and supplies.
  • Assist Facility Managers with hiring/supervision of student and temporary operations staff to assist with custodial and maintenance efforts.
  • Coordinate with Stadium Operations Assistant on scheduling student and temporary operations staff.
  • Provide support for University of Michigan practices, events and rentals.
  • Ensure proper condition of equipment and tools used during daily operation and maintenance checks.
  • Assist flip crews for building turnover based on event requirements.
  • Responsible for the organization of mechanical spaces, storage rooms, loading docks, maintenance shops, and any other operational spaces.
  • Assist with administrative functions including record keeping, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Assist with therapy pool monitoring and daily checks.
  • Assist, as needed, with Michigan Stadium operations and events.
  • Other duties as assigned by Facility Managers and Facility Workers.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor?s Degree Required (May be used as practicum to finish degree).
  • Prior experience in Facility operations, grounds, or related experience.
  • Proficient with general computer applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage changing demands.
  • Understanding of NCAA and Big Ten Compliance rules.
  • Understanding of OSEH Safety Programs.
  • Ability to work nights, evenings, and weekends.

     

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience working within a Division I University environment.
  • Experience working with the public dealing with a wide range of customers.
