Job Summary
Academic faculty position is available in the Section of General Surgery; duties include patient care, teaching, administrative, and research responsibilities. Research activity will include initiation of projects, acquisition of external funding, project direction, and publications.
Required Qualifications*
Medical doctorate degree. Completion of a general surgery residency training program. American Board of Surgery certification or eligibility. Hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan and a Federal DEA registration. Demonstrated ability as an academic surgeon. Evidence of competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected. Evidence of scholarly ability (publications in peer-reviewed journals, successful acquisition of external funding, etc.) is also expected.
