Responsibilities*
The chair of the Department of Strings, in consultation with the dean, will assign instructional responsibilities and schedule for the appointment period within the framework of the Department of Strings. Duties will entail 3-9 contact hours per week of cello instruction, plus a one hour weekly studio class. This position will be invited to attend the Department of Strings faculty meetings, as well.
Required Qualifications*
Master's degree or career equivalent, with experience teaching high-level students at the collegiate level.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
