Job Summary
The Communications and Social Media Associate is responsible for supporting the Marketing and Communications team by assisting with the content creation, scheduling posts, monitoring social media channels in the local region. The position will help support the implementation of a content marketing plan that ensures advertising, website, social media, video/digital media, and public and media relations activities are in strategic alignment for effective multi-audience communications and directly support our sales targets. The position will provide local in market support with the implementation, of the marketing campaigns and initiatives in the region related to, large-scale, high-stakes English language examinations, supporting creation of marketing content, coordination of marketing efforts related to our products, assisting in the implementation of social media and other digital marketing efforts, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and content.

Responsibilities*
- Support content creation for various marketing assets targeted at the local market, including written and video materials for organic and paid social media posts, search advertisements, websites, blog articles, media communications, press releases, case studies, video scripts, email campaigns, newsletters, brochures, and other promotional materials. Ensure that all new and existing content meets marketing and quality standards.
- Assist in scheduling, implementing, and monitoring marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, paid searches, and email, to raise awareness about our products, attract customers and partners, generate leads and sales, and enhance our reputation. Maintain the local market contact database to compile leads and engage with customers across all forms of media.
- Assist in planning and coordinating social media and digital marketing initiatives and implementing approved marketing and business development communications for local target markets.
- Conduct research that will assist in the development of marketing strategies for both B2B and B2C channels. Support relationships with key external stakeholders and partners, including developing compelling content for joint marketing efforts and identifying opportunities for content sharing and link partnerships to optimize marketing results.
- Assist in conducting market research in the local market to understand customer needs and competitor services.
- Support the compilation of marketing analytics from local target market social media, email, and multimedia platforms. Assist in the preparation of reports and dashboards.
- Other contributions commensurate with level and experience as required (providing general administrative or project support).
Required Qualifications*
- Associate degree in Marketing and Communications
- Minimum C1 level of English; C1 level of local language
- Fluent in the local region language
- Strong oral and written presentation skills
- Proven exceptional writing skills in all forms, including social media posts and marketing communications to news stories, blogs, and articles for publications
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work to meet deadlines
- Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team
- Competent in standard IT software packages including, Microsoft Office and CRM (Salesforce preferred)
- Organizational skills
- Ability to think creatively
- Attention to detail, with an ability to manage competing demands
- Accurate and flawless proofreading and editing skills
Desired Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or Journalism
- Intercultural awareness
- Proficiency with CRM's, marketing management and scheduling software, including Google Analytics and website management
- Marketing research skills
- Proficient in other languages
- Familiarity with Adobe applications - InDesign and/or Illustrator
- Some experience in the full cycle of completing marketing-related projects, specifically for business to consumer channels
- Some experience with international marketing projects
- Some experience in public relations, communications, or journalism
Work Locations
Michigan Language Assessment is seeking candidates located in or within commuting distance to Mexico City. Michigan Language Assessment supports a fully remote work from home schedule with occasionally scheduled in person activities.
Modes of Work

Additional Information
Annual salary range $280,000 - $350,000 MXN Pesos.
