Job Summary

We seek to enhance our faculty by adding a clinician member to our comprehensive service to work in a dynamic and creative academic environment. Opportunities for partnering with other disciplines exist, and the ideal candidate will be interested in innovative program development that addresses the clinical and research needs of our patients. Contributions toward teaching and administration are highly valued. 

Required Qualifications*

We welcome applicants to apply who are Board-eligible or certified in ophthalmology and have completed a cornea fellowship. Successful candidates will have an MD PhD degree, or equivalent, in areas as described above. Documentation of scholarly ability and achievement (record of publications in peer-reviewed journals; record of acquisition of external funding for research programs, detailed research plan, collaborative research experience) is expected. Preferred candidates will have a demonstrated interest in graduate and post-doctoral education and possess critical teaching skills.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
