Job Summary

The University of Michigan's Information Assurance at Michigan Medicine (IA:MM) team is seeking interested candidates for a Cybersecurity Administrative Specialist position. This role is part of IA:MM's Education and Awareness team and helps administer Michigan Medicine's monthly simulated phishing campaigns. The role also assists with several internal administrative processes to ensure clarity and consistency, and will assist with a variety of communication activities, website updates, and internal document management needs.

An ideal candidate is detail oriented, well organized, and proactive. You have experience in a professional setting and can work with vendor partners as well as internal partners professionally. This position will provide you with opportunities to learn different cybersecurity frameworks, regulations, and technologies and apply them in creative ways to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities*

  • Administer Michigan Medicine's monthly simulated phishing campaigns. This includes gathering data from Human Resources, data analysis, troubleshooting as needed, and creating presentations.
  • Assist with internal administrative processes, including those needed prior to project launch.  Partner with colleagues to collect information as needed.
  • Assist with document tracking across Michigan Medicine's three-hospital system, working with colleagues to update or retire documents as needed.
  • Assist with various communications needs across Michigan Medicine's three-hospital system, such as ensuring that various websites are updated, that links are fresh, and that permissions are granted across the multiple hospital sites as needed.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a professional setting working under supervision to perform work that is directed but varied.
  • Ability to work transparently while in a remote setting, including keeping calendars updated, visible on organizational messenger, and on-camera during meetings.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including managing detailed Excel spreadsheets, and creating presentations with PowerPoint, Visio, and Word.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Information technology/cybersecurity certifications. 
  • Experience working in an academic healthcare environment. 
  • Experience with SharePoint or similar web-based applications. 
  • Experience with ServiceNow or other ticket management system. 
  • Experience with Cloud platforms such as Google Drive and Box.

This position is being made available with the ability for you to negotiate alternative work schedules and remote/on-site options to suit your work-life balance.
