Hourly range for Registered Nurses $40.18-$62.31/ hour
Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour
Day Shift Weekend Differential- $2.90 / hour

Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Responsibilities*
The Department of Anesthesiology at Michigan Medicine is seeking to hire a part-time nurse to assist with an ongoing clinical trial with surgical patients. The candidate will be responsible for administering a research study drug in clinical trial patients (admitted inpatients) on weekday mornings. During drug infusion, the candidate will need to monitor vitals every 5 minutes and coordinate with clinical and research teams if any adverse events arise. Responsibilities will include the following:
Pick up the clinical trial study drug from the hospital pharmacy
After coordinating with the patient?s nurse, administer study drug infusion on the Alaris pump (over 30 minutes)
Record vital signs during the 30-minute infusion
Coordinate with clinical and research teams if any adverse events arise during the study drug infusion.
Minimum requirements
Highly professional demeanor and positive attitude
Excellent oral communication skills
Availability during weekday mornings, 8:00a ? 10:00a, Tuesday ? Thursday
Able to program an alaris pump for drug infusion (training can be provided, if needed)
Able to monitor and chart vitals every 5 minutes
Nursing Specific Info
Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.

employment including months and years of service along with effort. Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.

Required Qualifications*
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan
- Two (2) years of more of inpatient Medical-Surgical, ICU, or Infusion RN experience

Work Schedule

This position is grant funded. At this time, the position is funded thru 4/30/2027.
*All new employees are expected to float during times of low census
