Responsibilities*
- Providing direct patient care to adult/pediatric ambulatory surgical population
- Critical airway management
- Vital signs
- Monitoring EKG
- Pain management
- PONC management
- Activities of daily living
- Care is inclusive of the entire perioperative experience
- RN will rotate between Pre op, Phase I, Phase II, extended stay
- Provide patient/family education
- Charge nurse responsibilities on unit as assigned

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
Applicants who have left the UMPNC bargaining unit must include on their resume dates of past employment including months and years of service along with effort.

Required Qualifications*
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan
- Minimum of two (2) years of Surgical PACU experience (Phase I required within 1 year)
- Pre-Op experience within the last one (1) year
- Current PACU Adult experience
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Experience with critical airway management
- Demonstrated proficiency with IV starts
- Proficient in Michart (Optime)

Work Schedule
30 hours/week
Shift/Hours/Days: Day/evening Shift; Mon-Fri, 10 hours shifts. (Hours may be variable based on patient and volume needs, with flexibility required. This may include weekends and holidays).
Location: Position is currently Kellogg Preop/PACU. All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census

Union Affiliation
