Responsibilities*
Annual Giving (50%)
- Provide high-level support in stewardship and recognition efforts for annual fund donors.
- Prepare SL?s efforts related to University-wide ?Giving Blueday? to ensure robust participation and maximum revenue generation.
Stewardship (40%)
- Responsible for executing a comprehensive stewardship program that creatively and strategically engages prospects and donors, recognizes them for their contributions, and informs them about the use of their gifts to the University.
- Oversee the gift acknowledgment process for all donors to SL, including at the annual giving level
- Manage weekly acknowledgment letters.
- Write customized OVP letters, tribute gifts, and special circumstances.
- Record all acknowledgment activities in DART.
Internal University Collaboration (10%)
- Manage SL development communication, working in conjunction with staff at OVP-SL.
- Serve as point of contact between SL development and University and Development Events team to coordinate stewardship events.
- Attend Office of University Development meetings and training as appropriate to remain aware and knowledgeable of industry best practices related to annual giving and stewardship.
Required Qualifications*
- High school diploma and prior experience working in an office environment.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, both written and oral, and a high level of sophistication and maturity in social and professional settings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; strong grammar skills; experience in business writing is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues in a team environment.
- Discretion in interactions with donors and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Desired Qualifications*
- Experience working or volunteering in a fundraising organization
- Familiarity with University systems, policies and procedures.
